Among top leaders attending are Punjab CM Amarinder Singh and Rajasthan CM Ashok Gehlot.
Gehlot on Friday night had tweeted saying the party would bounce back under Rahul.
Also present are AICC general secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, veterans P Chidambaram, Kumari Selja, Ambika Soni, Chhattisgarh CM Bhupesh Baghel, and all general secretaries and states in-charge.
It remains to be seen if Rahul makes an offer to resign.
