Hardik Patel's rally turns into Patel swayamvar

Like a scene straight out of Imagine TV's Swayamvar series from the yesteryears, Hardik Patel couldn't keep from blushing as one of the members at his rally brought forth a marriage proposal for the quota leader.

The Patel leader was addressing a rally in Morbi's Bagthala village on Tuesday, when his acquaintance, Rakesh Patel, who hails from Bihar, said that the young leader should visit the state and marry a daughter of Bihar. Unsurprisingly, the episode attracted more interest than Hardik's rally.

Rakesh Patel, before making the proposal, said that Bihar had a good sex ratio. He said that the Patel youth, including Hardik, should marry daughter of Bihar if they do not find a potential wife in Gujarat.

The proposal made by Rakesh Patel while addressing the crowd was welcomed with a big round of applaise, both, from the crowd and Hardik himself.

One of Hardik's colleagues said, "We should accept Rakesh Patel's invitation when he says that Bihar has many girls from the Patel community and that he has specially traveled all the way from Bihar with the proposal of nuptial ties between Gujarat's boys and Bihar's girls. I can see that a large number of youth are elated with this and have been hailing this."

Meanwhile, the leader seemed to have been struggling to convince his community for their support for his agitation that he relaunched from October 2 after a short break.

The agitation has been organised to demand loan waiver for farmers, reservation and more. Former BJP MLA, Kanu Kalsaria, a former AAP leader in Gujarat, was also seen on the dais.

"This agitation will not fructify unless you give wholehearted support. If loans of farmers are waived off by farmers, it is not like only Hardik Patel's loans will be waived off but it is going to benefit you all. But if you people have the callous attitude for this agitation, it cannot succeed," he said.
