Taking to a more new-age way of reaching out to the voters while also maintaining a personal connect, the Gujarat BJP has decided to contact its voters through calls and WhatsApp instead of the traditional door-to-door approach.
While the traditional way of reminding voters of its achievements will still be practiced, do not be surprised if you receive calls from call centres listing down the works done by PM Modi-led NDA government. This is also likely to keep the ruling party a step ahead in its Lok Sabha Poll campaigning.
The Gujarat BJP chief, Jitu Vaghani on Tuesday, announced, "We are going to start the call centres in a very short time. There will be one call centre among two to three Lok Sabha seats and one at the state level. The call centre executives will talk to citizens of Gujarat on our poll agendas."
The call centers will be run and managed by the young brigade of BJP cadre, who have been trained during natural calamities to help victims in different districts. Now, they will work for the poll campaign.
Party spokesperson, Harshad Patel, said, "Our young workers have been trained while they worked in call centres to help victims and could extend maximum help to them. Now, they will work for the party's poll campaign. The call centres will start operations from next week onwards and we will reach out to almost all households and voters in Gujarat before the LS polls approach."
"We have also directed our page Pramukh or Panna Pramukh to create WhatsApp group of voters they are responsible for. They will keep approaching voters through WhatsApp messages very frequently and quickly. They will also meet them physically but contact through WhatsApp will be cherry on the icing," Patel added.
